Bed 2.0 extension set
You want to use the full width and length of your cardboard bed? For most bed sizes you will already find everything you need in your RIAB package. An additional rhombus and a connector are already included with the Bed 2.0. You only need an additional extension set for our cardboard Bed 2.0 if you want to use a mattress with extra length in the following dimensions:
Variant S: 100 x 220 cm
VariantM: 140 x 220 cm
Variant L: 200 x 220 cm
Family bed: 300 x 220 cm
The extension set is not required for all other mattress sizes. The set includes two rhombs and a connector. You can find out how to insert the extension components into your Bed 2.0 in the instructions that are included with each bed. You can also download them here.
All RIAB cardboard furniture is based on our favourite material: AVANA corrugated cardboard. The high-quality heavy-duty cardboard ensures a high degree of stability and a corresponding longevity of our furniture. A high load-bearing capacity is also achieved by the well thought-out rhombic construction. Thus, the bed can bear multiples of its own weight and effortlessly withstand all activities, no matter how wild. At the same time, cardboard furniture is extremely light, making your next move much easier.
And the environment? It is pleased about the high recycling rate (54 to 80 %) of our corrugated cardboard, the pollutant-free starch glue for gluing the paper webs and the solvent-free water-based paints used to finish our cardboard furniture. At the end of its life cycle, each of our unconventional pieces of furniture can be completely returned to the material cycle, because they are all 100% recyclable. So we can proudly claim to offer you an ecologically sustainable alternative to conventional furniture. With the Bed 2.0, we can even back this up with a few figures:
Compared to a conventional bed, you contribute 280 times less to global warming when you buy a Bed 2.0. From raw material extraction to disposal, it consumes 8,000 times less energy. And thanks to its low weight, transporting it to your home - which is climate-neutral anyway - is 4 times more climate-friendly than transporting a normal bed.
