Family Bed 2.0
The Family Bed 2.0 consists of three beds in size S, which you join together with the help of the enclosed connectors. The individual cardboard beds can be quickly and easily assembled in the desired width so that you have a free hand in designing your family bed. Another advantage: the family bed can be divided into individual beds at any time without tools when the time comes for a separate cot.
With a height of 33 cm, the family bed can be set up in a width between 240 and 300 cm and extended in length to 220 cm. If it's not needed because you want to use the space differently, you can simply fold it up - like a folding bed - and place the mattresses against the wall. The individual beds are so light that you can even carry them all by yourself, which is especially useful when moving house.
The stable rhombic construction of our Bed 2.0 makes an additional slatted frame superfluous. The open structure ensures sufficient air circulation under the mattress and has no negative influence on the comfort of your mattress.
The Family Bed 2.0 - like all our cardboard furniture - is made of heavy-duty cardboard of the highest quality and is therefore particularly stable and durable. The well thought-out construction enables a high load-bearing capacity.Thus, the family bed 2.0 can support up to four people of 150 kg body weight each.
Furniture made of corrugated cardboard is not only characterised by its light weight, but also by its ecologically sustainable character. Our special AVANA corrugated cardboard contains 54 to 80 % recycled material and is 100% recyclable. The adhesives we use are based on vegan corn starch and the inks are water-based and solvent-free. At the end of its life cycle, the family bed can simply be disposed of in the waste paper bin and thus returned to the recycling loop.
If you compare it with a conventional bed, the Bed 2.0 consumes 8,000 times less energy from raw material extraction to disposal and contributes 280 times less to global warming. Transport is also 4 times more climate-friendly than that of a standard bed - due to the low weight of the bed - and is carried out by us in a climate-neutral way anyway.

Our sustainable mattress made from natural latex is the perfect complement to the cardboard bed. In general, all mattress types except futons are compatible with our bed. However, make sure that the mattress is at least 15 cm high and medium-firm to firm. In our shop you will find also find our super soft organic cotton bed linen and sustainable headboard.
Note for smooth floors
For smooth floors, we recommend placing an anti-slip mat under the bed to prevent slipping.
